  1. Most of the representatives here are washed up and bitter. They lack compassion and knowledge. I waited 45 minutes just to get an appeal form ( which should have been available on the government website). When I looked at the form, I noticed that the representative gave me the wrong form! Not the form I had asked for at all!

The San Rafael office lacks the staff needed to keep up with the number of recipients sitting in the waiting room. Every time I call, it either takes forever or I’m directed to the Berkeley office which only has information from the main social security file but not information entered by the San Rafael office- total waste of time.

I have wasted hours and hours, days and days corresponding with that office, filling out paperwork, just to be informed that the info was never entered or updated into the system. Corresponding with this office has become a second job for me. This place needs to be shut down!!!! Shame on them!

  2. I am always amazed that government workers whos primary job is to help the public in their chosen occupation seem to dislike working with the public. The workers act as if the client should already have all the answers already. If I didn’t need help I wouldn’t ask. A little less vinegar and a little more honey please.
